I also want to list here plans for the future. One thing I would like to achieve is better coordination of class material with out of class activities - more real life stuff from on campus to off campus events. Another goal is to find more "authentic" materials and activities (such as etiquette guides) that provide a less homogenized experience.

This is intended to be my notes and reactions to readings that I take on this school year. I have decided to use this as a primary form of my professional development for this year. I hope to dip into and strengthen areas of professional interest - such as pedagogy theory and practice, LD information, the field of communication, conflict resolution, media and the use of technology in society and within education. Although much of the readings will be directly related I also believe that I will be informed by selective reading outside of these areas of interests and may gain original insights by exposing myself to other influences.

Wired magazine (I have a backlog of these) - innovative ideas about technology and society
LD online - monthly list serv about current developments in the field
